Smithe

Smithe (Smitheone) (b. 1987, Mexico) is a self-taught artist who evolved from teenage graffiti into a multidisciplinary practice spanning painting, illustration, design, sculpture, music, and more. Influenced by vintage comics, mid-century graphics, and science fiction, he has developed a distinctive visual language centered on fragmented, machine-like figures. His work explores themes of identity, existentialism, and the tension between human and mechanical systems, often revealing inner structures through surreal “defragmented” forms. Exhibited internationally, Smithe continues to push and reinvent his style, bridging street culture with contemporary art in a way that feels both introspective and visually striking.
