April 17th through June 5th, 2026.

On view April 17 through June 5th, 2026 at The Lunder Research Center at Couse-Sharp Historic Site in Taos, New Mexico is "La Luz de Taos," a stunning collection of more than 60 works in a variety of media by some of the most exciting contemporary artists in America.
La luz de Taos refers to the exquisite light in Taos that has delighted and inspired generations of visual artists. La Luz de Taos 2026 marks the museum’s largest exhibition of contemporary art to date and coincides with the silver anniversary of The Couse Foundation, which stewards the Couse-Sharp Historic Site.
The exhibition is presented across the historic 1915 J. H. Sharp Studio and the Lunder Research Center, a dedicated space honoring the legacy of the Taos Society of Artists. Through its archives, collections, and programming, the center reflects a commitment to art’s ability to educate, inspire, and connect.
Proceeds from the exhibition support the preservation of the Couse-Sharp campus, a national treasure encompassing the homes and studios of E. I. Couse and J. H. Sharp. Founded in 1915, the Taos Society of Artists sought to define a distinctly American art rooted in the cultures and landscapes of the Southwest.
