On view March 6th through April 10th, 2026.

Opening on Friday, March 6th, 2026 at Claggett / Rey Gallery in Edwards, Colorado is the must see solo exhibition from artist Josh Elliott entitled, "Hush."
In "Hush," Elliott turns his full attention to the quiet poetry of a single winter stream. Devoting the entire body of work in "Hush" to this singular motif, Elliott presents more than fifteen new oil paintings that explore its shifting moods and subtle, elegant transformations in the quiet of winter. Through variations in light, texture, and atmosphere, the familiar current becomes something contemplative and immersive: an extraordinary meditation on light, stillness, and the silent life of a mountain stream.
Born in Great Falls, Montana, in 1973, Elliott is a third-generation artist raised in a family deeply rooted in art. Inspired by his father, wildlife painter Steve Elliott, he developed a passion for painting from life, particularly outdoors, with plein-air works to sharpen his skills and inform his studio paintings which transcend mere representation through his masterful command of light and atmosphere.
Josh lives and works in Helena, Montana with his wife and two daughters.
