Artist Danny Galieote's incredible solo exhibition, "Pop Regionalism," opens on Saturday, December 6th at Maxwell Alexander Gallery in Pasadena, California.

In this new body of work, Galieote brings together classic Western imagery and mid-century science fiction, drawing on Old Hollywood, regionalism, and his background in animation to create paintings that are both nostalgic and playfully surreal. From cowboys lit by flying saucers to Pecos Bill wrestling a tornado, Galieote’s Pop Regionalism reflects the imagination and quirky character of the modern west.
