Damien Cifelli
Damien Cifelli is a multidisciplinary artist and writer from Edinburgh whose work centers on the fictional world of Tarogramma, an imagined society explored through painting, sculpture, writing, sound, and installation. Approaching his practice through a form of fictional anthropology, Cifelli constructs richly detailed narratives filled with ambiguous symbols, invented traditions, and fragmented histories that blur the boundaries between reality and fabrication, examining how meaning, culture, and truth are constructed, often presenting imagined artifacts and scenes as though they were documentary evidence from another world. A graduate of the Royal College of Art in London, Cifelli has exhibited internationally at venues including the Whitechapel Gallery and Saatchi Gallery.
