BIO
Frank Gonzales is an extraordinary contemporary painter known for his vivid and imaginative explorations of Southwestern flora and fauna. Blending scientific curiosity with artistic intuition, his work often features birds, botanical forms, and astonishing bursts of color that blur the line between observation and abstraction. His distinctive style—marked by layered imagery, color glitches, and spontaneous compositions—reflects both movement and stillness, intention and uncertainty.
Gonzales’ work is held in numerous public and private collections worldwide, including Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Bank of America, and the Ampersand Hotel in London. His paintings have been widely featured in publications such as American Art Collector (including its 2010 cover), Juxtapoz, Supersonic Art, and Booooooom. In 2022, he completed a terrazzo floor design for the 24th Street Sky Train Station in Phoenix, further expanding his creative footprint into public art.
Frank lives and works in Mesa, Arizona.
